No velvet ropes or spotlights. Just music, drinks, and a room full of people who showed up.

The Launch Festival at Rural Taproom in Lancaster brought together a lineup of artists who care about the craft — the songs, the sound, the work. It was about showing up, having a good time and highlighting great music.

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE MUSICIANS, THE SOUND STAFF AND THE RURAL TAPROOM STAFF!!! We couldn't have done it without you.

Music and food have a way of building community and tonight was no exception. We listened, got inspired, made new friends and began to feel like part of the creative collective. We wanted to share with you the other members on the musicial bill with us tonight because great acts and good songs don't grow alone — they grow from support.

So check out our new friends and musical compadres. Listen to new music and if you see them, buy them a drink next time.

This is how local music stays alive.
